Rear shocks are double-acting shock absorber - provides controlled hydraulic damping resistance during both strokes of suspension movement: compression (jumper/upward wheel travel) and extension (rebound/downward wheel travel).

Compression Stroke (Bump): When the wheel hits a bump or the chassis moves downward toward the axle, the shock absorber piston compresses into the body. Valving controls the fluid flow to absorb the impact energy and prevent harsh bottoming out.

Extension Stroke (Rebound): As the spring pushes the wheel back down into a dip or extension, the piston moves outward. The valving restricts fluid return to slow down the spring's recoil, preventing the vehicle from bouncing uncontrollably.
